Nine years in the making: Justice for an Indian journalist

Shivani Bhatnagar, a journalist with The Indian Express, was brutally murdered at her apartment in New Delhi in January 1999. She was stabbed, strangled and clubbed to death. Her two-month-old baby, who was in the apartment with her at the time, was spared. It took the justice system nine years to investigate the complex case, apprehend the suspects and hand out a conviction. The chief conspirator, R.K. My first blog post here: Looking for feedback

Hi, This is my first blog post here. And a very hesitant one, at that. I am posting a folktale written as a children's story. This is something I've heard from my mother and grandmother. Re: your question of whether I've published:

I've published in some obscure community journals, and I got a (non-monetary) kill fee from O'Reilly for "An Open Letter to Spam Patrons", plus a couple of non-boilerplate (i.e. "near miss") rejection letters, one from Ace.

So to answer concisely, "kind of." (-:

Thanks for asking!

How about you?

Thanks, Suma. I am hoping to expand into more corporate work this year--primarily for the pay. I never lack for magazine assignments, but I'm not making the price-per-word that would make me happy.

Great Fable, Suma. I know it took a lot of courage to be the first to post something for others to critique, and just wanted to say how much I admire you for doing so! Keep up the good work! we'll have you writing professionally again in no time!
