Nine years in the making: Justice for an Indian journalist

Shivani Bhatnagar, a journalist with The Indian Express, was brutally murdered at her apartment in New Delhi in January 1999. She was stabbed, strangled and clubbed to death. My first blog post here: Looking for feedback

Hi, This is my first blog post here. And a very hesitant one, at that. I am posting a folktale written as a children's story. This is something I've heard from my mother and grandmother. I have no prior experience in writing for children, so I've no idea if I'm doing anything right. All I know is that unless I get feedback, I won't know what to do with my ideas and leads. I've published in some obscure community journals, and I got a (non-monetary) kill fee from O'Reilly for "An Open Letter to Spam Patrons", plus a couple of non-boilerplate (i.e. "near miss") rejection letters, one from Ace.
